Internship Program

Our SEU regularly hosts interns from area colleges.  The interns assist the Promotions Department, Programming Department and Production Department in various tasks, including assisting with remote events, listener meet-and-greets, database input, contest and event planning, on-air production and promotions.   During this reporting period out SEU also hosted interns from area high schools through the non-profit Delaware Futures Program whose mission is to provide valuable experiential training to promising economically disadvantaged youth high school students.  The interns work under the direction of the Digital Content/Promotions Director.  During this period, our SEU hosted seven (7) interns. 

• One (1) intern from Delaware State University; 06/2012-09/2012 
• One (1) intern from Wilmington University; 05/2012-08/2012. 
• One (1) intern from University of Delaware: 09/2012-12/2012 
• One (1) intern from Iona College; 05/2012-08/2012
• Two (2) interns from Delaware Futures Program; 07/2012-08/2012.
• One (1) intern from Delaware Tech-Georgetown; 01/2013-Present

Participation in Job Fair(s) and Career Day(s)

During this reporting period, our SEU participated in the following Job Fairs to speak with prospective applicants: 

• On October 18, 2012 our SEU participated in a Career Fair at Delaware State University in Dover, Delaware.  The General Sales Manager, Local Sales Manager and Digital Content/Promotions Director spoke with students about careers in radio and digital. Resumes were collected.
• On November 1, 2012 our SEU participated in a Job Fair at Wilmington University in New Castle, Delaware.  The General Sales Manager, Local Sales Manager and Digital Content/Promotions Director spoke with students about careers in radio and digital. Resumes were collected.
• On March 20, 2013, our SEU participated in a Job Fair at Wilmington University in New Castle, Delaware.  The General Sales Manager, Local Sales Manager and Digital Content/Promotions Director spoke with students about careers in radio and digital. Resumes were collected.
• On March 26th, 2013, our SEU participated in a Job Fair at Wilmington University in Wilmington, Delaware. The General Sales Manager, Local Sales Manager and Digital Content/Promotions Director spoke with students about careers in radio and digital. Resumes were collected.
