Must we be like "them" because they are "hatin" on us. It hurts to my very core what happened on the 9/11 attack.  The thought of humans intentionally killing other humans for whatever reason is appalling to me. I know that no matter what our differences are globally, that we can "all get along" or just stay out of eachother's way as much as possible. But even more, I am  hurt that some Americans have opposed the erecting of a mosque several blocks from Ground Zero.  Aren't we the land of the freedom of speech and religion and all that bull?  How long will we do an eye for an eye?  Please don't get me wrong; all who were involved in terrorist acts against this country should be punished.  But just because there's a place of worship coming to that area, why must we treat people the way they would treat us?  Someone has to draw the white flag up of maturity.  Someone has to set the example for our children and for future generations that we can not keep treating eachother like crap because of power, greed, money or hate.  I say, we decide not to build the mosk because it may have other negative intentions, but not because people want to practice their religion.  Maybe if we go ahead with this, those who hate us from the Middle East will grow up and stop acting like fools.  Maybe, someday, hundreds of years from people will look back and say, "Wow, this country had heart and kept their word of what freedom really means." Somebody has to be an example; we did it before, and that is what made our country great, our country united.  Let's all disagree in a peaceful, united fashion. Not all who practice the religions of the Middle East are terroist.  We should be ashamed of ourselves.  Picking and choosing who can or cannot build a church in this country. Peace Out!
